Pure Georgette Saris
Pure georgette saris possess an indefinable air about them that their synthetic, filament spun counterparts lack. Hand woven from the finest silk by weavers who have been practicing their art for generations, they have long been established as eternal classics. They are made from highly twisted yarns, in ‘S’ and ‘Z’ stitches, creating a fine mesh fabric.
The brilliant colours of the silk (from vivid blues to deep reds) are often augmented by skilfully intricate resham, chikan, or zari work, which can take up to forty five days to embroider by hand.
These beautiful saris carry the weight of tradition, enmeshed with the transcendence of changing times. As a light and sheer fabric, their stain resistant properties when paired with the ease of maintenance characteristic to them, makes them an instant favourite at festivals and wedding ceremonies, especially when the haldi and mehndi are performed.
